Rose is a passionate Trade Policy Professional working in Kenya with over seventeen years work experience drawn from both public and private sector in Kenya. She has extensive experience in trade policy, cross border trade, regional integration, ICT for trade, stakeholder engagement, marketing and communications, government service delivery and energy policy. Her recent activities involve being a member of Kenya Government committee for negotiation and implementation of the AfCFTA, Chairperson of the Information and Transparency Sub- Committee of the National Trade Facilitation Committee which is responsible for implementation of the World Trade Organization, Trade Facilitation Agreement, a member of the National Trade Negotiation Committee in Kenya, implementation of the National Electronic Single Window System, implementation of Trade Information Portal in Kenya, monitoring of technical barriers to trade, monitoring of cargo dwell time at the points of entry and exit in Kenya amongst other trade facilitation related matters.
She currently works at KenTrade a Government Agency under National Treasury in the Capacity of Director, Trade Facilitation. She has previously worked as the Corporate Communications Manager at The Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Regional Officer at Kenya Power, Brand Manager at the Standard Group (KTN/Standard) and Head of Marketing and Communications at Vaja’s Manufacturers Ltd. Rose is a Business Management PhD Candidate at Moi University. She holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), BSc in International Business Administration, an Executive Diploma in Marketing, Project Management Certificate, and Professional Certificate in International Trade.
Rose has represented Kenya at the World Trade Organization Ministerial Conference in Nairobi, at the UNCTAD14 Nairobi Conference, the 6th TICAD Nairobi and many other bilateral negotiations. Rose is an International Trade Professional Fellow, a Trade Law Africa Centre Alumni and Australian Awards Fellow She is a socially responsible citizen who supports education of Children in Elgeiyo Marakwet County in Kenya. She is a 2014 Finalist of the Rising Star Awards and an Australian Awards 2019 Fellow.
