Saul Molobi is the founding Group CEO and Chairman of Brandhill Africa (Pty) Ltd. This is a competitive identity and public diplomacy agency that specialises in brand positioning Africa as a viable destination for foreign direct investment and tourism while at the same time opening foreign market access for the continent’s strategic exports. A global brand architect with experience in trade and investment promotion; destination marketing; journalism; and diplomacy.
His qualifications are a B.A. from University of Limpopo; B.A. (Honours) and MA in Dramatic Art from the University of the Witwatersrand; Post-Graduate Diploma from the IMM Graduate School of Marketing; and an MSc in Global Marketing from the University of Liverpool. His dissertation’s topic was “the role played by a country’s nation brand on investor decision making” in which I produced a list of 40 variables ranked in order of significance/relevance to investor decision making. Saul is an author of an autobiography, “Sound and Fury: The Chronicles of Healing”, is also the Publisher of “Jambo Africa Online” (a digital publication plus news portal on www.jamboafrica.online) and Convenor of the Biashara Services and Products Africa (BiSPA) Conference and Exhibition – the two platforms promote opportunities accruing from the Africa continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) and also opens market access opportunities for “Made in Africa” service and product brands. He is the former South Africa’s Consul-General to Milan (2012-2016), driving economic diplomacy in northern Italy – the country’s economic regions. Most recently he was a Group Executive: Trade, Investment and Regulatory Enablement at the Johannesburg-based Gauteng Growth and Development Agency of the Gauteng Province which contributes 35% to South Africa’s GDP.
